Futebol Americano, Tom Brady
Few athletes transcend jock-wear and move easily into high fashion as Tom Brady has over the years. Quarterbacks usually find plenty of attention for their personal style, but Tom Brady has a second career in fashion in the off-season because he dares to mix traditional American blue-blazer looks with European minimalism. His chiseled jaw, closely cropped hair and physique help his overall look, but don’t be fooled by his all-American smile. Tom Brady knows how to dress because, unlike other professional athletes who seem uncomfortable in anything but their jerseys, Tom Brady is always confidant and comfortable even when he experiments. Take for instance his ability to walk the streets of Paris in slim-fitting pyjama pants, sandals, Italian sunglasses, and a matching long-sleeve shirt one week, while sauntering into a New York City steak house the next week in a gray flannel three-piece suit. You will not see Peyton or Eli Manning calling this kind of sartorial play any time soon.
Dressing The Brady Way
Tom Brady’s style derives from his fearless ability to blend converging elements। Consider his quintessential look of sporty European sneakers, dark jeans and a zippered sweater topped off by a classic yet contemporary blue blazer with blue dress buttons. At times he substitutes the sweater for an athletic hooded sweatshirt. The sneakers and jeans are easy enough and the sweater or sweatshirt requires minimal effort, but the blazer is an inspired finishing touch. The whole look merges European sportswear with American athleticism, which is completed by the slightly conservative yet go-anywhere appeal of the blazer.
To achieve the ultimate Tom Brady look, consider blending Cole Haan Air Ventura sneakers with Dolce & Gabbana jeans, a white Hugo Boss sweater or sweatshirt and a dark blue Ermenegildo Zegna cashmere and silk blazer।
While all of these converge for a continental off-field uniform, it is the blazer that gives Tom Brady his eternally youthful look with a touch of respectabilit.

Style Icon, El Presidente!
Barack Obama has transcended politics and his quest to be President of the United States by adhering to the very old rule of dressing for the job you want. Most of the candidates and politicians in America like to appear in jeans to show they are one of the people, but Obama’s campaign was generated and fueled by the people, so he never had to dress down for the cameras. In the process, he has taught men how to wear suits again. The clean lines and drape of his jacket never seem ill-fitting or bulky. The trouser cuffs break across his cap-toe oxfords just enough to perfectly end the slim silhouette that begins with the soft shouldered jacket. More importantly, by always wearing a suit so well, he never looks out of place. Few realize that he began his campaign wearing Ermenegildo Zegna suits, but just as Nicolas Sarkozy was lauded in France for wearing Prada, Obama soon found himself at the center of sartorial questions. Rather than change his look, however, he merely changed to similarly designed and fitted suits from Hart Schaffner Marx. Here, then, is another lesson to be learned: Be yourself and true to your own style no matter the designer or manufacturer.
Dress The Obama Way
The foundational rule of Barack Obama’s style is to keep your wardrobe simple with finely made dark suits, a crisp white shirt and the camera-friendly pale blue tie or a deep red tie just to change things up. At his most casual, you might see him wearing the suit without the tie or perhaps without the jacket and the tie with his sleeves rolled up just above the wrist. It is here at this moment that all men who aspire to greatness should take note: Obama rolls his sleeves in even folds revealing his only accessory -- a sublime watch given to him as a gift from his Secret Service detail. At the beginning of his campaign, he sported a Tag Heuer on a black leather band, but nowadays he wears the Secret Service chronograph, which bears the seal of the United States Secret Service on a black dial with a black Buffalo leather strap.

Assert or Desert her?
In the 1950s, the rules of dating etiquette were clearer. A man knew it was not only acceptable, but expected for him to open the door for his date, pull out her chair and pay for the meal. These days, the line between appreciated chivalrous acts and condescending behaviors is fuzzy at best.
The feminist movement brought women the right to vote and earn equal pay, but it sure made the practice of dating more confusing in the process. It would be a dateless man indeed who did’t acknowledge a woman’s right to make her own decisions when it comes to her life, her money, her body, and her mind; however, how do you reconcile that respect with the kind of attitude a man is encouraged to project on a date? When you’re initially getting to know a girl, it can be difficult to know whether or not she’ll see your actions as considerate or misogynistic.
The following are a few different situations that may come up during the beginning of a relationship viewed from perspectives on either side of the aisle: that of a well-intentioned, old-fashioned gentleman and an enthusiastic, empowered woman. Which opinion should rule in these ambiguous circumstances?
Picking up the tab
Gentleman’s perspective: It’s gentlemanly to pull out my wallet and pay, especially on the first date. It shows I am financially secure and goes a long way to making a good impression on my date.
Feminist’s perspective: As an empowered woman, I can pay my own way, thank you very much. The man reaching for his wallet is an indication that he thinks I can’t take care of myself.
AM verdict: For the first few dates, at least, the guy should pay. If she isn’t a gold-digger, the woman should at least offer to pay, but until a relationship is established, the man should expect to be shelling out for meals, drinks and movies.
Lightening her load
Gentleman’s perspective: Opening the door for my girl or helping her carry her shopping bags is my duty as the stronger sex.
Feminist’s perspective: Call any woman “the weaker sex” and see how far that gets you. I am fully capable of opening my own doors and carrying my own bags.
AM verdict: Instead of asking if it’s OK, just say, “Let me help you with those bags.” If she’s adamant that she doesn’t need your help, back off.
Performing manly tasks
Gentleman’s perspective: There are some jobs that men are still required to do. Mowing the lawn or fixing the car is a perfectly reasonable thing to do for her. She probably doesn’t know how to do them or doesn’t want to anyway.
Feminist’s perspective: These chores are not strictly for men. I am independent and intelligent enough to take care of these tasks on my own.
AM verdict: If she knows how to do it, she does it, period. Don’t insist on doing a chore just because it’s “a man’s work.” Alternately, don’t shy away from teaching her how to do something if she shows an interest in learning.
Defending her honor
Gentleman’s perspective: If a woman is insulted by another man’s actions or words, I should step in and take over the situation.
Feminist’s perspective: I can fight my own battles. If someone offends me, I’ll take it up with them myself.
AM verdict: It depends on the situation. If it’s a random catcall from a passing vehicle, it’s probably not necessary to do anything about it. If another guy pinches your date’s *ss in a club, you should step up and deal with the situation. In that case, you're not only defending her honor, but your own as well.
Ordering her meal
Gentleman’s perspective: I know what she’ll like, so I should go ahead and order for her.
Feminist’s perspective: I don’t think so!
AM verdict: Feminists win here. This behavior is archaic and comes off as rude and condescending. Unless she asks for a suggestion, keep your opinions on her order to yourself.
chivalrous confusion
It can be quite confusing to be a man in today's society, what with all the empowered women traipsing around demanding their independence, while chastising us for not being courteous enough to open doors for them. A general rule of thumb to keep in mind when dealing with the fairer (not weaker) sex: treat them as you would want them to treat you! Don't baby her or treat her like a child, simply be there for her as you would a good friend and everything should be fine

7 trendy retro looks
But before you hit the streets looking for authentic vintage goods, check out these retro-inspired modern items that are all the rage. Dirty denim: Otherwise known as "washed-out" or "distressed," this denim is treated to give jeans and jean jackets a second-hand look.
T-shirts:
Vintage-looking Ts have a "thrifty" appeal, so much so that the color is faded, the fabric is soft and practically worn-out, and if there's a logo on the T-shirt, then it's sure to be retro. You can find vintage-looking T-shirts in most stores, as well as on websites like PalmerCash.com.
Button-down shirts:
Popular vintage-looking collared shirts include "utility" shirts; a button-down with a small chest pocket on one side, and a patch or insignia that reads "Joe's Gas Station," for example. You can also find what I like to call "bowling shirts," in either brown, blue or green, with some stripes on the shirt, usually in another shade of the shirt's base color. Another popular vintage detail is a shirt collar made from a different fabric, usually a knit.
Ties:
Any tie with a '60s or '70s pattern, in those unmistakable old-school colors, and either extremely wide or extremely thin. Speaking of thin, a very slim, knitted tie is a sure giveaway that it's retro.
Converse and Nike:
These shoes are everywhere! The '80s have returned in full force, especially in the world of sports apparel. You can find old-school white Nikes with the original Nike "swoosh" in most sporting goods stores. Even '80-style Converse All-Stars (low or high-top) have made a huge comeback.
Jackets/sports jerseys/hats:
Sports jerseys and caps with the team's retro logo are presently very cool. You could find these at popular sports specialty stores, or even try your luck on eBay.
Sunglasses:
Oversized shades are super popular for men, and they're reminiscent of the good old '60s and '70s. Even '80s-style aviators are flying high on the fashion scale.
Learn the difference between "thrift" & "vintage"
Items found at thrift stores are second-hand, and are cheaper than what you'll find at an authentic vintage store. Locations where you can find thrift items include the Salvation Army, flea markets, as well as second-hand stores. Vintage apparel refers to clothing and accessories from a different era; vintage items range in price and quality.
Inspect the item's condition
Whether you're shopping at a thrift shop or the best vintage store in the city, make sure the article is in mint condition. Check the stitching, finishing, lining, and exterior for defects or stains, and make sure you won't need alterations (these can sometimes cost more than the item itself).
Know how to recognize authentic vintage
If you're a wine connoisseur, you know a good bottle when you see it. By the same token, it's important to not get taken for a ride by merchants who claim that the leather jacket you're contemplating was really from the '50s. Once you get to know retro merchandise and time periods better, you'll notice certain signs of authenticity and quality that will make you a savvy vintage consumer. Details like workmanship, buttons, buttonholes, cuffs, and seams are usually good indicators of the item's quality and authenticity.

Dating on the dime
Let's be honest: Good-looking women in the 21st century have the world -- literally -- by the balls. That's because for very attractive women men are panting puppets, sex is available on demand and money flows from male wallets in a never-ending stream of avarice.Without lifting a finger, very attractive women enjoy lives that most people can only fantasize about. For men, the lure of dating very attractive women is obvious as they are arm candy, boost self-esteem, increase social status among men, multiply a guy's sexual desirability, and hot women are just damn good to look at. While all of this is well and good, very attractive women have their dark side and can be shallow, self-centered and self-absorbed, not to mention that many of them are selfish, think that their vaginas are gold-plated, and are manipulators, among many other negative qualities.Despite these drawbacks, very attractive women are what most guys look for. Since these women are constantly bombarded with male attention, they can afford to be highly selective about the men they date, which usually lands them some dude with money first and good looks second. Is there any hope for you if you don't have extremely good looks or lots of cash? Well, you just might be able give yourself a decent shot if you're willing to make a couple of shifts in your dating strategy and take our advice on dating very attractive women. The key to success with dating very attractive women is to be different. Beautiful women have heard it all, so if you want a chance at very attractive women, you're going to have to do something different. Here are a few examples of what it takes when dating very attractive women:
Treat her like she's nothing special
Talk to her like you would any other person. Don't act awestruck by her looks, don't gush out compliments and never stare at her with lust. Reduce the intimidation factor, be debonair and seem aloof, as if you don't care about her looks. Whatever you do, don't assume she doesn't want to talk to you. Dating very attractive women requires you to almost seem indifferent.
Don't hit on her
This is what she expects from the typical guy, so just make like you're ignoring her. This is a great technique to use if you run into very attractive women on a routine basis at work, a coffee shop or a health club. If you don't give her any attention -- while openly paying attention to other women -- she won't be able to stand it because you'll be the only guy within a hundred miles who isn't drooling over her. With luck, she'll be intrigued. Avoid pickup lines at all costs.
Tease her
Very attractive women can sense fear and insecurity the way a moth smells pheromones, so be light, fun and entertaining. Boyish charm can take you a long way with these women -- many of the great-looking guys they date can be seriously personality-challenged.Dating very attractive women requires a seemingly big ego..
Keep her guessing
The idea is to keep her off-balance, intrigued and guessing -- make her want to spend time with you just because you're so different from any other guy out there. Just remember: Don't let your guard down and go wimpy on her -- the very second she thinks she's in control of you, it's all over. So by being different, by bringing a little refreshing change into the life of very attractive women, you might be surprised -- it might just be the breath of fresh air she's been looking for. Sure, it's no magic charm, and it's certainly not going to work every time. Trying to score a date with very attractive women is definitely a numbers game. But all it takes is one, and if you pull it off, you're going to be in for the sweetest ride of your life.

Comfort or Conform
I've often heard women say that it's fashionable to wear shoez that maybe uncomfortable in attempt to conform. Women I've dated (not disclosing a #) have spoken to the fact that some foot wear have a time frame of, let's say, dos horas. So, I'm privy to this concept on the chicks side.
Now, having said this...Last week, a buddy of mine (whom which is a fashionista in Atlanta) were having lunch at a little spot known for having healthy eats on Ponce de Leon and we commenced to elaborate on shoe comfort.
I enjoy listing to his perspective because he brings a different angle from which I stand and I'm sure that some of you may support.
Lets refer to him as "Mr. T." Mr. T says that he agrees with the notion that most women subscribe to. Certain shoez are for certain occasions.(and your feet may turn into pumpkins if you don't get them out of there in time.) He further spoke of purchasing some fly#** kicks from "Bally's" and they needed to be broken in. So he passed them along to a friend of his to be loosing up. So when Mr. T got his kicks back, the shoez were a little bit more comfortable but I'd gathered from our conversation, It wasn't exactly what he'd expected. Now I'm not to keen on passing along my kicks to my boy to break'em in. That's my job!
If your footwear isn't comfort don't conform. Before the evening is over, you'll be walking like that fine mujer in that cute fitting outfit unfashionably tip toeing accross the street. You know the one that we say, "she's walking like her feet hurt."
Like is stated in the "zapatos" piece, make the investment on the front-end and your feet will thank you. Your kicks should provide you with estilo and comfort before departing the store if not keep your pesos. Do your research. Find shoe companies that design shoez tailoring your foot make. All shoez are not for all fellas.
Mr. T and I disagreed on shoe comfort but we did agree that the quesadilla's was a good fit!

"Señorita J O B"
An important step in every professional man's life is the interview for that much-anticipated job position. Men prepare for this moment their whole lives, yet many things still go wrong. Here are some key interview tips to remember in order to have a successful interview.
Preparation
Of all the interview tips you will learn about, this is probably the most important part of the whole process, because with good preparation, everything should go as planned. Before getting to the interview, conduct some research so that you know some basic information about the company , like its mission statement and its position in the industry. This will allow you to intelligently answer questions that might suddenly be thrown your way during the interview session. This research should also include specific job-related issues and requirements. Applicants don't want to be faced with a tricky question often asked by interviewers, catching the applicant off guard. A good technique is to look at yourself in the mirror, go through the procedure of an interview and address your flaws. Portraying confidence and assertiveness are surely the most important parts of an interview. The interviewer wants to see that the applicant is sure of himself, and that his high confidence is a reflection of his abilities.
Looks do matter
Using the same concept as when preparing a resume, your appearance will play a key role in presenting a good image of yourself. We wouldn't expect an employer to be wearing running shoes and jeans, so why should we? Dress appropriately for the position. Office and administrative jobs require, without a doubt, a suit and tie. Be wary of overdressing for the interview, but remember, it's better to be overdressed than underdressed.
Introduction and body language
There are three main things to do when entering the interview room and first meeting a human resources person:
Present yourself by clearly stating your name.
Make direct eye contact with the interviewer.
Give a firm handshake. A trick to avoid getting sweaty palms is to carry a tissue in your pocket to dry your hand right before the handshake. Before moving on, there are implicit signs interviewers are trained to look out for during an interview session. Interviewers are usually trained observers of the slightest details, which can say more than what is actually said by the applicant.
Constantly moving hands will usually represent nervousness. Keep them on the table, or on your knees.
Sit up straight and don`t slouch. Sitting up portrays confidence and savoir faire .
Unintentional nervous ticks are clearly noticeable by interviewers, but might not be to the applicant. Be careful not to tap the table, touch your face constantly or stutter when answering questions.
Typical questions
Every job interview contains a series of questions tailored for that specific applicant, however, many of them actually include a set of generic questions that might be posed by the interviewer. Here is a list to give you an idea of the types of questions that might be put forth in conversation during an interview. The key is to answer the questions sincerely, while using a rich vocabulary.
:What experience do you have for the position?
:Why should we hire you?
:Where do you see yourself in five years from now?
:Name one of your weaknesses.
:Why do you want to work for our company?
:What can you bring to our company?
Take the appropriate time to answer each one of the questions. An important aspect is never to assume that you have gotten the position, because employers can pick up on this. This could very well play against your odds during the hiring stage. Follow through the entire interview until the very end.
Preparation is key
There are different levels of interviews, from the preliminary one to the final selection. Each stage will offer different levels of difficulty and require different preparation, but with this basic bag of knowledge, you are ready to face any interviewer. Two important interview tips to remember are to answer honestly and not to act arrogant. Now go get 'em.

Iconic?
Why He's A Style Icon
Although most well known as an actor and rapper as well as a film, television and music producer, Will Smith could easily add style guru to his impressive resume. Whether he’s at a film premiere or just out and about with his family, the man always manages to look incredible. Indeed, it may be because his style is so effortless that he is one of Hollywood’s most stylish men. That, plus the fact that he seems to have understood the most fundamental style rule: Create a style that defines you. Even in his younger days as the Fresh Prince, Will Smith followed this principle, positioning himself as a funky, laid-back guy by donning a baseball cap sideways and mismatching graphic print shirts with multicolored neon shorts and jackets worn inside out.
Once he grew up and moved away from these wacky stylings, the multitalented star adopted a more sophisticated and classy approach to dressing. As the world’s biggest movie star, he plays the part, frequently suiting up for his premieres in sleek dark suits that show off his toned, lean body as well as adding a key piece or two of high-end jewelry. What keeps the star’s red-carpet look from getting boring, however, is that he’s not afraid to wear patterns and color.
In his downtime, you’ll catch Will Smith sporting sunglasses, a variety of hats, leather jackets, fitted V-neck shirts and sweaters, and one of his favorite combinations -- jeans with a funky jacket or blazer.
Dressing The Smith Way
When he’s not wearing a designer suit to the opening of his latest blockbuster, you’ll often catch Will Smith pairing jeans with a light-colored blazer or jacket in hues ranging from white to tan to silvery gray. You, too, can up your style quotient just like this fashion icon simply by throwing a blazer or fitted jacket over the more casual pieces in your closet. This slick Marc by Marc Jacobs blazer will help you emulate Will Smith’s elegant but relaxed look and will become your go-to piece when you need to be impeccable in seconds flat. Made from cotton sateen, this two-button piece has a side-vented back, two flap-besom pockets, a chest pocket, an interior pocket and four decorative buttons on each cuff. Its cut is classic with a modern fit, so try pairing it with anything you would usually wear with your standard black blazer as it will blend in well with your current wardrobe. Don’t stop there, though. Remember that Will Smith never shies away from wearing unexpected colors or patterns, and this opal-colored blazer that is not quite white and not quite gray provides a fantastic backdrop on which to experiment. So, have some fun like this style icon and try an unusual tie or a pastel shirt. If pale shades are just not your thing, take another styling tip from Will Smith and try teaming a boldly striped blue dress shirt with your blazer and jeans for a cutting-edge look.

"Personal Goals"
Pick up a hobby
According to an article in the International Herald Tribune, when you do things that make you feel good, such as a hobby, it activates an area of the brain called the nucleus accumbens, which controls how we feel about life. Activities you enjoy also stimulate an area of the brain that makes you feel happy. Think hobbies are a waste of time? Think again! Hobbies can enhance your creativity, help you think more clearly and sharpen your focus.
So, if you were thinking about picking up guitar, go for it! Or, start up a basketball league with your buddies. You’ll get your guy time fix and get to blow off steam—giving you more energy to face the world with your best foot forward.
Save more money
There are many easy ways to save money that really add up--from savings account that automatically transfer money from each paycheck to booking cheaper travel to being more strategic about where you go to happy hour.
But according to financial planning experts, the first steps toward financial freedom is understanding your financial reality—how much you make, how much it costs to live and how much discretionary income you have to play with. Use your bank’s online spending reports feature to keep track of daily spending, and make adjustments when you spot bad patterns. If you smoke, cutting out cigarettes is not only good for your health—it will save you about $1,800 a year.
Driving less is another huge way to save money. Carpooling, using public transportation and biking/walking goes beyond being environmentally-conscious, it can save you hundreds of dollars a year on gas, vehicle maintenance and parking fees. Buying gently-used vehicles and furniture through consignment is another smart way to save money, both on the front end of acquisition costs and in resale value.
Go through your closets, garage and basement and hold a garage sale, or place ads on Craigslist and take unwanted clothes to a consignment shop or Goodwill for a tax write-off. And the easiest tip of all, is just to stop spending as much money! Just have your bank automatically withdraw a set amount of percentage from each paycheck—when you have less to work with, you’ll naturally reign in your spending.
Start a retirement fund
It's never too early to start planning for your retirement. Think about this: a 25 year old guy can invest $2,000 a year for eight years without investing an additional dollar after the age of 33 will earn more by the age of 65 than a 34 year old who invests $2,000 a year for 32 years. One of the best retirement plan options available is your employer's 401(k) Plan. You make pre-tax contributions, which reduces your taxable income, while earnings grow tax-deferred until retirement. In most cases, employers will match a portion of your contribution. If your employer offers a 401(k) it’s foolish not to participate—it’s like leaving money on the table … and walking away.
Another option for retirement saving is the IRA (Individual Retirement Account). A traditional IRA allows pre-tax contributions to grow tax-deferred, meaning you don't pay taxes until you withdraw the money, so the amount you would have paid in taxes earns income from the time you contribute it until you take it out.
If your employer doesn’t offer a retirement plan or you work for yourself, a SIMPLE-IRA, self-employed 401(k), or KEOGH are options for sole proprietors and the self employed.
Make a smart investment
Investing isn’t just about stocks and bonds. Investing in an art, vintage car or watch collection is considered an investment too. If you have a passion, why not add a smart collection to your net worth? Not sure how to go about investing in art? You can subsribe to art publications, attend showings and get cozy with a trusted art advisor. For more tips, see the AskMen.com article on buying art.
With the real estate market in its current state, now is a great time to buy that investment property you’ve been thinking about. According to an article published by Forbes.com, the best markets in the US to get a good real estate deal include:
1. Fort Worth, Texas2. Kansas City, MO3. Houston, TX4. Cleveland, OH5. Denver, CO6. Long Island, NY7. Washington, D.C.8. Orlando, FL9. Phoenix, AZ10. Las Vegas, NV
Find out why these cities have the best real estate deals, view the Forbes.com article here.
Eat more whole foods
Convenient foods have monopolized the foods industry and with good reason—they’re convenient, and usually cheaper too. Most of us are on-the-go and don’t have time to cook a home-cooked breakfast or prepare spaghetti sauce from scratch, let alone seek out a nutritious and healthy lunch during our hectic days. So what are processed foods? It’s pretty simple: processed foods have been altered from their natural state for convenience, prolonging shelf life, or safety. The methods used for processing foods include canning, freezing, refrigeration, dehydration and aseptic processing. With all of the hoopla over healthy eating, it’s hard to know what’s good for us and what’s bad. While certain processed foods are, in fact, unhealthy, not all are bad for us—so I’m not saying to launch an all-out boycott of all things pre-packaged and processed.
Milk is technically a processed food product because it’s pasteurized to kill bacteria and homogenized to keep fats from separating. Instead of stressing out about what not to eat, try loading your fridge with healthy whole food snacks and packing a lunch of veggies, fruits and nuts. Opt for fresh soups and veggie wraps from restaurants and leave the onion rings and sodas for your cheat day.
Do more for others
Most of us wish we had more time to devote to giving back to the community. Unfortunately, it’s not always easy to give up chunks of time to spend delivering food or taking a youngster under your wing. If you do have the time, more power to you. If not, there are other ways to do your part to help those less fortunate.
Donate unwanted household items, non-perishable food and clothes to local charities or families you know could use them. Donating money or sponsoring a needy child is a great way to give back when you don’t have time to spare. A growing trend is shopping specially with retailers who donate to charities. You can buy the products you normally would buy and still do something good for someone else.
Get more quality sleep
Sleep is an area where many of us skimp, and it’s no wonder. With our 24-hour society and increasing demands to balance work and home life, how does anyone get any sleep? To compound the problem is noise pollution and a dozen other factors detrimental to sleep.
According to the Sleep Foundation, nearly 40 million American men and women suffer from sleep disorders. Sleep deprivation doesn’t get a lot of attention but is the cause of many illnesses and accidents, not to mention cranky moods and lackluster skin tones.
Start the New Year off right. Get to bed early enough so that you can wake up naturally without the help of an alarm clock and cut the caffeine after 5 p.m. or earlier if you can. Also, skip the nightcap; it’s more likely to disrupt your sleep than it will aid in restful slumber.
Spend more time with family
Life is short—why not work more family time into your life? If you don’t have a partner or kids, call up your parents, siblings or cousins. Keeping ties with those who knew you way back when is cathartic and keeps you down to earth. What is it all worth working for if we can’t spend it with the people we love?
Go green
You’re hearing it everywhere. Green is in! Even if you’re not a bonafide treehugger, going green helps your bank account just as much as the “global warming” crisis (actually probably more so).
Green your car—check your air pressure and air filter, remove bike racks and any equipment or extra “stuff” you’re carrying around in your trunk; this will help with fuel efficiency. Of course leaving the car in the garage helps too. Car sharing and using public transportation cut down on vehicle emissions.
Green your house--install water-saving shower heads and aerators, turn the tap off when you’re brushing your teeth and switch to energy-efficient appliances. If you have a garden, collect rain water to water plants. For more tips on going green, visit www.treehugger.com/gogreen

Los colores(colors)
According to Belisi, matching your tie color to your eye color creates a strking balance that gets noticed without being overdone. “It will really make your eyes pop, which always boosts your look,” says Belisi.
And what do the color experts say?
The meaning of color
Black
Black is an authoritative color that carries a lot of weight in social and business situations. In fashion, black is a slimming color. But on the opposite end of the spectrum, black can imply submission, which is why clergy often wear black. Black is intense and can be off-putting or intimidating. In terms of pop culture and folklore, black is associated with villains.
If you find black too severe for the office or feels too formal, break it up with diagonal white stripes.

The same goes for your dress shirt. If you aren’t wearing a tie, a black dress shirt with subtle white stripes is professional and modern. We like Dolce & Gabbana's Striped Cotton Dress Shirt.
But if you want the bad boy mysterious look, go for a solid black dress shirt and pair it with jeans for a night out with the boys or for a first date.
The StretchPoplin Shirt in Black says sophisticated and a little bit dangerous
White
In many cultures, white is a symbol of purity. Traditionally viewed as a summer color, white can now be worn year round. For fashion white goes with almost anything; however it does show dirt and is more challenging to keep clean.
White ties are hard to come by but you may see more of them with the popularity of the monochromatic looks. The Belisi Cloud Dancer tie looks great paired with a crisp, white dress shirt or any color buttondown.
Red
Without a doubt, red packs a punch. An emotional and vibrant color, red simulates blood--the source of life. Red clothes get noticed, which can work for or against you. Red is intense, so if you’re involved in negotiations it could work against you, as red could be seen as intimidating and threatening. Red cars are also a popular target for car thieves.
For men, red is best when worn as an accent color such as in a tie, like the Belisi Fiore Rosso red silk necktie.
Pink
Pink is associated with romance and tranquility. A recent trend is men wearing pink dress shirts or ties. If you’ve ever heard the saying “real men wear pink”, there’s something to it. A man who wears pink screams confident.
If you’re not ready to commit to a pink dress shirt, a pink tie is a great way to subtly infuse a little color. Try the Paris Pink silk necktie by Belisi.
Blue
The color of the sky and the ocean, blue is one of the most popular colors. It causes the opposite reaction as red. Peaceful, tranquil blue causes the body to produce calming chemicals, so it is often used in bedrooms. Blue can also be cold and depressing. Fashion consultants recommend wearing blue to job interviews because it symbolizes loyalty. People are more productive in blue rooms. Studies show weightlifters are able to handle heavier weights in blue gyms.
Have a legal face-off coming up? If you want to pacify the opposition and appear less threatening (like to an arbitrator or judge), a light blue dress shirt, like the The Burberry Herringbone Dress Shirt is a good choice.
Or, accent a white, gray or black dress shirt with a light blue tie like the Belisi Blue Ice tie.
Green
You might notice your friends painting their walls green. And with good reason; green is calming, refreshing and easy on the eye. Green has been associated with fertility and wealth. A man who wants to convey status might wear a dark green tie or shirt.
Jasmine Rainforest tie
Yellow
Yellow is associated with cheerfulness and morning. But studies show that people lost their tempers more often in yellow rooms, and the color appears to upset infants. It’s a noticeable color but hard on the eyes. On a positive note, yellow can improve concentration (explaining why legal pads are yellow) and improves metabolism--hence the reason many kitchens are painted yellow.
A soft yellow is great in an everyday tie. Brighten up a gloomy day with the Support the Troops tie by Belisi.
Purple
Purple denotes royalty, wealth and luxury. It is a romantic and feminine color, especially in violets and deep purple velvet fabrics. Purple can appear artificial, since the color is rare in nature, so if you’re going for a natural look, purple may not be the right color for you.
Wearing purple is all about balance. The Veronica tie is colorful yet not overpowering.
Brown
Brown is the color of earth and looks great on people with Autumn skin tones. Light brown implies genuineness and dark brown gives off a rustic, earthy feel with its closeness to wood and tanned leather. Brown can also be a dull color, so make sure to fill your wardrobe with a variety of colors and tones.
When worn properly, brown is sophisticated in a non-intimidating way. A brown tie is a great way to send the message that you’re open and honest.
Spice up your wardrobe, add a little color!

Well well, "The Tie!"
There are an assortment of colors, estilos and fabrics out there.. Several estilos to suit with your suit or to suit with your character.
I can recall as a kid dreading the idea of wearing a tie. It meant to me that the top button was closed, I couldn't breathe and i had to attend to my tongue(the tie that is) as long as I was dressed up. Now for god sakes we have, "the tie clamp," or maybe they were available and my dad wasn't too interested in them but I am now!
Now, every caballero(gentleman) 21and up should know how to properly execute the "four in a hand" knot. It's clean and simple enough for even a adolescent to perform. If you consider yourself a well dressed fella and cant sweep this motion in under 2mins, then think again! Even if you don't wear neck ties daily, it's a basic function to being tight.
I personally like ties because, once again, I enjoy being different. I'll rock it casually with jeans and a button down for a added ascent or even plain front slacks, sandals and a button down. By adding ties to my estilo, it speaks of humor and confidence to the masses without uttering a word.
Try showing up on a date even if it's a picnic sporting a knit tie casually worn and see how well your date goes, provided that you're on your best behavior and then, holla back...

Shoez/Zapatos
Gents, always remember, comfort and estilo are hand in glove. I always walk the store for a least 10mins to ensure that the comfort is premium. It's a short investment time for well spent coins on your shoez. Before showcasing your fresh zapatos, make certain to moisturize the leather or repellent for the suede to ensure the longevity of the skin. If you're like me, and prefer storing your zapatos in boxes(which most style experts ill advise)make sure that the boxes have a small whole about the size of a dime cut in. This allows the skin to breathe and prevent mode in the leather. Shoe trees which keeps the form of your shoez are highly recommended...Oh fellas, I need for you to add rubber heel and toe taps to your shoes. Why? Because some of us pimp so hard that we compound the pavement on the outsides of our heels...and believe me, there is nothing less appealing than banging wheels with uneven worn spots.
I remember my dad gathering all his shoes on hair cut Saturday to be cleaned by "Cat Eye", the shoe shine magician that worked in our barber shop on Mlk dr. in the Morris Brown district, would work his magic. When Cat Eye finished, I was always amazed at how renewed my dad zapatos were. When my dad got dressed to step out... and laced up, the shoez popped the out fit like women's lip stick...but stronger.
My experience has been that mujeres(women) adores the look of a man in nicely cared for shoez. You can have on weak denims and a busted T and your shoez will save the day...So my advise is to determine your estilo for the day around what shoez you're wearing not the other way around. Start at the bottom and work your way up...

My debut
It was impressed upon me to create a blog about the thing I'm quite passionate about, "the male image." So this is my debut... but first I'll let you know a little about me... I'm Jenero De Rio. Native to the Hottest city on the up-rise, "Atlanta." I'm third generation American. My blood line runs to Angola on my paternal side and to Columbia on my maternal side. My heart beats to the rhythm of the bantu.
Thanks for passing through.
